Even though in San Diego we all live within close proximity to some of the nations top organic produce growers and farms, who has the time to trek out to the farm stands and dairy pastures to get the best of the best ingredients? Luckily, several local restaurants are jumping on the farm-to-table movement and doing just that: Buying produce, meat and dairy direct from local growers and putting it on their menus with no preservatives, freezing or rehydrating. The result? Menus full of simple flavors, local ingredients and sustainable deliciousness. Now if only we could get carbon credits for eating out ...
