Great dresses, great service!. I had a wonderful experience at Demetrios. It was the first place my sister (My Matron of Honor) and I walked into just to get trying on the "first dress" over and done with. I didn't have any expectations whatsoever. Flavia ended up helping us for over an hour and actually found about 5 dresses that I loved. Over the next couple of months, I booked appointments with various other gown shops in SD that turned out to be overpriced, snooty, overbearing and had minimal selections. I took two of my Bridesmaids back to Demetrios one afternoon (again, did not have an appt.), met with Flavia again and had a wonderful time! She listened to what I envisioned my dress to look like and pulled out several for me to choose from. She was patient and never pressured me into a decision. When I tried on my dress, I knew it was "The One"- and it was several hundred less than what I budgeted for! I would recommend any bride-to-be to shop here. Whether its your first time dress shopping or you've already been to 10 shops, Demetrios does not disappoint! P.S. Ask for Flavia- she knows bridal gowns!…
Friendly staff, good selection, but overpriced. I had my heart set on a particular dress I tried on at Demetrio's that was a bit out of my price range. Just out of curiosity I called other Demetrio's stores across the country (I'll be visiting my family soon in two other states, both with Demetrio's locations nearby) to see if they were running any sales. Turns out the other stores' "normal" price is several hundred dollars less than Demetrio's in San Diego, plus right off the bat the other stores were willing to give an additional discount. I called the San Diego store back to see what they could do to offer a competitive price. The lady who was helping me had to call me back several times so she could "talk to the manager" and eventually brought the price down a few hundred so it was within $150 of the other store's offer. I decided it was worth the extra money to buy the dress locally and was excited to show my mom the dress before purchasing it when she's in town next week. However...15 minutes later I received another call from Demetrio's San Diego that the discounted price was only valid if I purchased the dress that night - the store was about to close in an hour! Just thought that was kind of shady. Otherwise, the store has a decent selection and everyone I spoke with was friendly. Just watch out for their pricing - the exact same dress varies quite a bit depending on where you buy it!…

My friend and I are both engaged and decided to go to the trunk show. This was both our first time dress shopping. We walked in without appointments and the staff was very attentive and friendly.
They immediately took our information and asked us both what style we were seraching for. Both our consultants pulled dresses and let us look around as well.
Rosa was my consultant and was very pleasant, and helpful in helping me look for dresses. They took their time with us and didnt make us feel rushed. The rest of the staff was involved as well, and searching for veils and hair pieces for both my friend and I. Rosa was very attentive and helped me put the dresses on, and she made suggestions and was honest about how some of them looked. I was there purely to look, not to buy, and my friend and I ended up finding the most amazing wedding dress. We both agree that we had an amazing experience.…
the perfect dress. I really had a mixed experience when I first went in. I had scheduled an appointment and had given a list of dresses I was interested in prior to appointment but when I arrived at the store the consultant was running late and I was told to just take a look around and started picking dresses on my own. None of the dresses I had already listed were pulled for me and many were not in the store to try on. I did go during the trunk show and found the most beautiful dress I have every seen! It had all the elements I wanted. I was able to overlook the poor customer service on the front end because once she became avail the consultant was wonderful in letting me try as many as I needed and then helping me with the details of the dress I purchased that same day. I recommend this store, but be patient. If you are in bridezilla mode steer clear.…
Horrible all around!!. My sister is getting married and I'm the maid of honor. She got her dress here, so I also ordered my bridesmaid dress with them as well. Her dress and veil finally arrived, and the veil is completely the wrong one. They told her that there was no way to fix the mistake, THEIR MISTAKE, because now it is too close to the wedding date. Then when my bridesmaid dress FINALLY came in, it was two sizes smaller than what I ordered. This time they said it was the manufacturer's mistake but again they couldn't fix it because the wedding is now only six weeks away. When I went to get alterations, they said they would order more fabric to make the dress fit properly, and they never did. Now the dress looks horrible and doesn't even come close to fitting properly. But they don't care because they already got their money. DO NOT GO THERE! It is a horrible place with horrible customer service. I can't possibly rate them poor enough.…
