The Scene
Though it's perched between two major department stores (Macy's and JC Penney) in the mainstream Fashion Valley Mall, everything about this casual-clothes mecca screams boutique. Sales associates dressed down in hundreds of dollars of jeans and tees are more of a backdrop than a force to be reckoned with. Top local spinsters set up camp at the in-house DJ booth, promoting their gigs just as they would a downtown club appearance.
The Goods
Specializing in European and Japanese brands, the bulk of the stock is cutting-edge fashions with a few old standards thrown in. Diesel, Merc and Replay jeans line the shelves next to dozens of Ben Sherman and Fred Perry button-ups crisply hanging. Accessories PIMP watches, Sendra boots and the Puma Blackstation line of sneaks. The shop is also one of San Diego's major suppliers of all things La Coste.
