Hands down the best BBQ in San Diego. Phil's? Pffffft. Phil WHO?!

If you're looking for good BBQ, this is it. The food is simply great. It's in a strip mall, so don't be expecting cloth tablecloths and sterling flatware. Abbey is there every day, and she works hard at making her customers happy. Both the service and food are consistently great.

great bbq. the best bbq in town great service and friendly.

i ordered the pulled pork sandwich and fried okra and sweet sweet sweet tea.

the pork was so good and when they say texas bbq its true.

the best sweet tea like home.

Umm Umm Good!. So this is a little hidden secret! They have regulars & the staff knows their particulars! That's a good sign! One of the regulars orders a side of ranch & he forgot to ask...it was already on his plate!

Besides that we enjoyed the BBQ Brisket sandwich pilled HIGH!! Delicious & the place was packed even though it is a hole in the wall we LOVE it and will return for the ribs next!

This is the real deal folks. Don't be disuaded by the strip mall location. This is hard wood, slow smoked meat. The smoke flavor of the brisket and pork was very good. Very tender also. The beans were pretty good..a little too much pepper maybe. I liked the BBQ sauce.

The corn bread is pretty decent and moist. It would be better if warmed. The smoked ham was not as good as the brisket and pork but decent. The smoked turkey was a bit lacking.

If I didn't live in Denver I would not hesitate return to try some more stuff.

Good value also.

MMM brisket. Small restaurant...big flavor. Best BBQ brisket since I've been to Texas. I tried the plate of 3 meats. They piled it on and I ate 2 meals out of it. Hot links not my favorite, but it was all good. Friendly Abbey. I always leave happy.

Best pulled pork around. I love this BBQ joint. I'm very surprised it doesn't have a higher rating, because IMHO it beats the pants off of Baby Blues BBQ up in LA. The pulled pork at this place is amazing. One of my favorite places to eat in San Diego. Definitely recommended!
