A local's favorite for seven years, this unpretentious Japanese restaurant is known for its monster-size sushi rolls, authentic noodles and tasty teriyaki. Portions are large enough for sharing, and the boisterous chefs make dining at the bar a fun experience. Friendly servers, who keep orders moving through the small and crowded dining room, often refer the undecided to photos of house specials plastered on the walls. Crowd favorites include the beef short ribs, chicken yakisoba and vegetable curry, but sushi lovers will find a wide selection of freshly prepared rolls to choose from.

love it!!!. Nozomi is the place to go for sushi when you're in the Kearny Mesa area. The restaurant is small so there could be a wait around lunch time. There are so many varieties of rolls to choose from and the price is very reasonable. Favorites include the seafood udon and the big sashimi salad( sorry forgot the name). There's a little pool with turtles swimming around and cool cartoons to watch for the kiddies.
