Beautiful sunset dining. Try and time your dinner here so you can have a table on the patio at sunset! The exotic orange martinis here are as good-looking as they are tasting!

Spanish lovely in Balboa Park impresses with good food and better ambiance.. The Scene
A mosaic fountain dribbles in the courtyard entrance to this model of Spanish architecture in Balboa Park's House of Hospitality. Inside, a bright, tiled ceiling hangs over the bustling dining room that opens out onto the lush patio, where strung lights connect the intricate, tiered pathways between tables. Candles lit at dusk enhance the atmosphere--like dining in an outdoor plaza in Madrid. Wolfgang Puck-trained chef Jeff Thurston fuses Latin and Italian classics in an eclectic, bright menu with everything from mushroom risotto to sushi rolls. Proscuitto-wrapped asparagus with red tomato vinaigrette and the Prado tortilla soup are popular starters. Entrees include seafood, pastas and hearty meat dishes like the pistachio-crusted rack of lamb served perfectly with light vegetables and Parmesan risotto.
