Gone Downhill.
Unless you know someone who works there, good luck getting a drink! Flagging down a waitress and/or bartender will only slow your service. The food lacks variety, and they seem to use the same bread for every sandwich/entree. And its NOT good. But, it seems to be one of the last bars in the Encinitas area where you can grab a beer and watch a game without the constant crying of babies or toddlers running around. Chief's and Tidewater have now become synonomous with Chuck-E-Cheese's.
Also, they have lost their entertainment license (or rather, never properly held one in the first place) so there are no more weekend DJ's, and they even have "No Dancing" signs posted throughout the establishment. Hello Footloose!

Encinitas sports bar welcomes families before sunset but turns strictly adults-only after hours with live music and cocktail lounge appeal..
In Short
A family friendly lunch and dinner restaurant, spacious sports bar and nightly adult's lounge, D-Street is the neighborhood hangout that caters to any mood. A casual atmosphere with rustic brick walls, booth and bar seating, weekends are ideal to watch multiple games on one of the dozens of plasma TVs. Primarily a sports bar, classic American fare ranges from burgers and steaks to hearty, spicy chili.

Corner bar known for maritinis and well-heeled North County singles offers drinks and dancing 7 nights a week..
In Short
With over 50 house-blended varieties, this multi-level space is a 'tini drinkers mecca. Pull up a stool around the main island bar or nab a lounge chair on the upper mezzanine level for a great few of the dance floor in the center Shaker Room. Disco ball, flat screens playing music videos and a DJ booth complete the party atmopshere. Menu is strictly cocktails, but Denny's around the corner serves snacks 'till late.
