Terrible Pediatrician Office

The nurses at this office will make it possible for you to hate this pediatric office so much you won't care if any of the doctors are any good. And the doctors are not good by the way. That needs to be clearly stated. I have been with these people for a little over 2 years and the office staff along with the nurses are just plain rude, and arrogant.

I have tried all the doctors there, because you have the option to try a different one on your next visit, and the doctors are either condescending, or are obnoxiously loud even if you're standing 1-2 feet away from them, they do not try to make friends with your baby first before putting their hands on them. They are uncaring about your child and seem stressed out all the time.

The nurses, the nurses! They have the worst, world class unbelievable worst nurses. I don't know where they find these clearly underpaid very much incompetent bad attitude nurses. Ughhh, don't even waste your time with these people.

I put up with them all of this time because looking and interviewing pediatricians is just not one of my favorite tasks to do and I was trying to avoid the hassle, but I simply can't take their incompetence anymore. So if you are still looking for a pediatrician, skip these people on your list and faaast, you'll be glad you did.

Highly Recommend

I have been taking my son to Dr. Hitchcock for the past 2&1/2 years and have had a wonderful experience every time. The staff are very nice and Dr. Hitchcock always goes above and beyond in caring for his patients. The office and rooms are extremely clean and there is a separate area for sick children as well as a back door and room for those who come in with rashes. Thankfully my son doesn't need to visit often, but when trying to diagnose a minor skin condition (psoriasis), Dr. Hitchcock knew exactly what to do and continues to check in with us on the progress. I am now pregnant with our second child and will most definitely continue my children's care with La Jolla Pediatrics and Dr. Hitchcock. I highly recommend his services.

Caring Pediatrician

Dr. Hitchcock is a wonderful pediatrician and always makes my baby and I feel like we are his favorite

patients. He is friendly, has a good sense of humor, answers any questions and is accessible. He comes from a big family and has 5 children of his own and

he knows how to relate to children and their parents. We go to the Carlsbad office, which is new and very well maintained and would recommend it to everyone.

Wonderful, dedicated pediatrician

Dr. Hitchcock has been our doctor for 18 years. He is highly skilled, very personable, and knows when to send a patient to a specialist. He treats a sore throat with as much concern as he does an impending surgery. He is competent and friendly and with his years of experience you can feel confident that your child will receive the very best care.

Dr Hitchcock has the best instincts, he follows through on every patient, and actually returns calls and visits hospitals to follow his patients.
