Sushiii. So I am a sushi fanatic, and I have heard soo many good things about this place. I actually went on a date here a few days ago, and wasn't very impressed. It is an alright atmosphere, and I could see it being fun for drinks or happy hour, but the sushi wasnt impressive. I would rather eat elsewhere..

Too Expensive....
I heard a lot about this place so I was super excited to check it out this last weekend..
When we arrived the atmosphere was great. I was just surprised when I looked at the menu..the prices were much higher than other local sushi companies. We ate and the food was fairly good but definitely not worth the high prices...I will not be going to this sushi restaurant in the future...

My favorite sushi place!. This is my favorite place to get sushi in SD. The vibe makes you think you're in a much funkier, sophisticated place than Old Town. The beer selection is really good, and the staff is great for recommendations. I love the tuna bruschetta appetizer and I always get some specialty rolls - some favorites are the Mike Check, Maui Wowie, or Rolls Royce. I finish it up and wash it down with some unfiltered sake - heavenly!

Jenn the Waitress Stole $20. I recently went to Harney's and had Jennifer as my waitress (brown hair, green eyes, acne that was covered up with way to much makeup). The food was okay. When the bill came my friend put in $20 and I asked to have the rest be put on my card. When I noticed the entire bill was put on my card I asked her about it and she said the twenty dollars would be subtracted from the total when the charge goes through on my credit card. Not true!!! The entire bill was put on my card and Jenn decided to pocket the $20 for her self (way over the tip she deserved, if anything at all). I called 3 times to talk to the manager and was told he was "not in" and he never returned my calls. Be careful with this restaurant and Jenn the sleazy waitress. SHADY BUSINESS! Don't bother, the food is not that great and the staff is HORRIBLE!!!

Multiple attempts to contact this customer were unsuccessful. A manager is always available during our business hours and would have been happy to look into this issue. We provide a fine dining experience for our customers and strive for everyone to leave happy. Customer service is of utmost importance to us.

love this place!. great sushi and awesome dj's. and there is valet parking to make it easy in conjested old town. over all a great place. recomend the valet parking and the rastatori roll

STUPID RESEREVATION POLICY EVERY at the OLD TOWN location. I will never go to this place. Anyone who recommends a good sushi eat in SD, I will say anything BUT Harney. They turned down the wrong person. I called to make a reservation for 3 on Sunday at 7:30, and the stupid hostess gave me this RIDICULOUS reservation policy rant on how I need to do it 24 hours in advance for under 4 people and 2 hours in advance, same day for 4 people or more....THIS IS NOWHERE stated on their WEBSITE, or PHONE MESSAGE. I tried to speak with a manager and the dumb hostess hangs up on me...surprise, surprise. I spend about $300/week dining out in SD taking out clients, family, friends, out-of-towners, and they just lost my business for sure.

Worst Sushi In Town. This is the worst sushi in town. I would not eat here is the earths food supply completely dried up. I would rather die!

Must get Tempura Strawberries for dessert. So good... warm strawberries lightly fried with tempura flakes, chocolate sauce, and green tea (or vanilla) ice cream. YUM!

Definately going back!!. Ambiance, food, music...all excellent. We had a great time and look forward to going back. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you get inside, you feel the vibe

Best place. Sushi was delicious, but to top it off the atmosphere was awesome. fun, hip, trendy.. a great place for a date. When I went we sat at the counter had an apps, and a few rolls. It was all great.
