I brought my Klein in for work, first time in 10 years. I was redoing my drive train. Well when the bottom bracket couldn't come out, they spent about 5 hours trying to get it out as not to damage the bike. They also got the bb re threaded outside the shop and probably didn't add any additonal expense on top. They finished the bike well and even threw a new tire on at no charge. They charged a super fair price and will always be the shop that I will go to.
What a great bike shop! Ryan and Mo
really took care of me. I hadn't ridden my bike in years, and I wanted to get it in tip-top shape before I took it up to ride on Venice/Santa Monica boardwalk for the weeked. - they gave me just what I needed and didn't try to up-sell me. In fact, I asked if I should just get a new bike, since this one had 2 flat tires, a rusty chain, etc., and Ryan assured me it actually was a really good bike and just needed a new tube, chain and a tune up.
It was ready the same day, and looked and worked great- they even dusted it off for me! I bought a new lock, and Mo helped me set it up on my bike and removed a piece I didn't need. And best of all, it's just a block from my office. This is absolutely the only bike store I'll go to in San Diego from now on. Thanks guys!
Got an older (2003) road bike I use to commute tuned up here a week or so ago. They dialed everything in just right. It's shifting better than it has in quite a while, including after a tuneup by another shop a while back. Don't know who worked on the bike, so can't give a person-specific recommendation, but that also means I don't know these guys and so I'm not giving them the review based on anything but their work on the bike.
This is my new favorite bike shop. Great customer service and not snobby or lazy guys. I've had such bad experiences at other bike shops , that I'll now go out of my way to come here. Great selection of stuff at reasonable prices
I brought in a scooter in pieces with NO instructions today, and they put it together in no time and I was on my way! They had a large selection of baskets for the front too, and were super nice.Even helped me put the basket on!
We wanted to rent bikes on our recent
visit to San Diego to do the Coronado/Silver Strand ride. We checked a couple of shops and this one guaranteed us a bike for the day we wanted. Showed up first thing in the morning, got fitted and off we went without a hitch. The guy who opened the store on Saturday was friendly and got us on our way within minutes. Nice guy to boot.
We had a great ride. I highly recommend this shop and the Coronado ride!!! Will do it again next time, and will rent from this establishment hands down. No options, we were very pleased!
Excellent bike shop. Brought in my
abused, neglected Schwinn Cruiser and Moe and his workers had it working like brand new the next day. The quality of the work they did was excellent, (had them change innertubes, and install a liner), and they even oiled my chain for me. Now thats service.
Moe is a straight shooter and I would definately do business with him again. Its nice to have a bike shop downtown thats convenient for us condo owners.
San Diego Bike Shop. Owner Mo Karimi shares with me that he still has his scar from when he was five years old. He and his friends dared each other to ride their bikes as far as they could to the drop off of a cliff and the first one to stop was the loser. Of course, Mo was determined to win and has the battle scar to prove it. That is what is so great about the vibe of this bicycle shop, the passion and love for cycling. The relentless drive to get that ultimate ride in. Ryan White, the shop’s head mechanic also chimes in with his love for cycling. His style of riding involves more stunts and tricks with a road bike. Mo’s preference is now mountain biking where he can escape the bustle of the city and enjoy some rough terrain. Nevertheless, every employee can tell you how much they love to cycle. Bring your bike in for repair, tune ups, or any other servicing. Pick up bike accessories and gear. But most of all, leave with that same passion and enthusiasm of riding your first bike because it really is contagious.
Uber Helpful People. I asked like a million questions and they were all so patient and helpful everytime I went in. Bought a bike there the other week - prices are very competitive. Parking is crappy but so is the rest of downtown.
