The prime rib is good. Not the best but decent for being in many locations in San Diego. The steak sucks here, try the prime rib.

Really good food. For the price and the selection I really like outback steakhouse. I know it's just another chain style restaurant, but they do a great job with the quality of their food so I can definitely appreciate that.

Australian tchotchkes and brews give this quintessentially American restaurant a distinctive Down Under flavor.. In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.

Worst Customer Service. On February 28, 2008 I ordered a 9oz filet steak cooked medium at the Mission Valley Outback. When the steak came to my table, it was brown on the outside but completely raw and cold on the inside. It took the kitchen two more tries to cook the steak to medium while my companion completed their meal and then waited for me to eat mine.

On March 29, 2008 I decided to give Outback one more try. I overheard the table next to me order a steak medium and then sent it back twice because what they really wanted was well-done. I then overheard the manager provide the steak to the customers for free. I asked to speak to the manager to question why an order not properly given was provided free when my previously properly ordered steak was not. I was informed that the decision was the manager's to make and the manager on duty when my order was wrong was the owner Reyna Hernandez and I would need to speak with her. I asked when she would be available and was informed April 4 and provided her card.

I today spoke with Reyna and she informed me every table is treated differently and was unsure why I was being "childish"- her words. I was never going to return to any Outbacks but thought I would provide Reyna with an opportunity to make the situation right. I guess I was wrong and to make matters worse, she thought it would be better service to her customers to patronize and insult them. When I told her I would be providing feedback to Outback, she then decided to inform me hat all California restaurants are individually owned so "it would do me no good."

Best steak in Mission Valley, San Diego, CA. Huge tasty steak with cold New Castle on tap. How much better can it get. I especially like to sit at the bar but the back part of the bar in the patio. I eat here like 2 times a month every month.
