What People Are Saying About Tin Fish Gaslamp

In Short – Located a few foul balls from Petco Park, the Tin Fish enjoys large weekend crowds whenever the Padres are in town. The huge, breezy patio ensures no one has to wait for a table, and after ordering inside at the counter, patrons sit back and wait for their fish tacos and shrimp po'boys to be delivered by the restaurant's young, affable staff. Other popular menu items include fish-and-chips, quesadillas and salmon burritos.
Best Fish Tacos in Town

They make my favorite fish tacos! The fish is always fresh. Don't forget the hot sauce. The criss-cut fries are always perfectly hot and crisp. Tin Fish has become a pre-game tradition. Who can pass up this place when most of the food at the stadium is inedible? When we've been crunched for time, we've even asked for the food to go and we get to enjoy the goods at our seats as we watch the first pitch. Whether it's game day or not, this is one place we try to take all of our out-of-town guests and they always ask to come back. The patio is a great place to relax and have a beer as you take in the sights of the Gaslamp. And you can't beat the price either - my husband and I share the two-fish taco combo for about $10!
Game day lines may look intimidating, but it does move quickly and they seem to have formulated just enough seating so that in our experience, we've always gotten a table before the food arrives. But do plan on getting your order in about 45 min. to an hour before the game if you want to see the first pitch.
- Pros: Food, Price, Great Location, Great Ambience/Patio Seating
- Cons: Other than the typical gripe about downtown parking - none!
