Call Dr. Taylor on Saturday morning at
9:30 am. I told him that I had cracked a tooth awhile back and now I was in a lot of pain that I could not sleep at all. He was very attentive and said he could see me at 11:30 am. From the moment I walked in his door he was there waiting for me. He explain that he was first taking an x-ray to see what was going on before he started. After he took a look at the x-ray he explained that I needed either a root canal or to have the tooth pull. He left the decision to me. I decided to have the root canal done. I have had one before and the experience was not that good. I can not be leave how different this was. From the very beginning to the end Dr. Taylor explained what he was doing and what to expect. The whole procedure took about an hour. I had no pain, he was fast and gentle and always made sure I was OK. I have not had a dentist like Dr. Taylor that really cared for his patient. I am really glad that I found Dr Taylor.
If anyone ever needs a Great Dentist you should not look any further. I high recommend him.
Best Dentist EVER!!! My Fiance just moved to town and her bracket broke off taking a piece of tooth with it. Being a Saturday during a 3 day weekend we were prepared for the worst. I found Dr. Taylor on Citysearch and after a short phone conversation Dr. Taylor asked how quickly we could get to his office. He was a fantastic, personable Dentist. He made us feel like he was our family dentist and he was great with our kids. He was very up front and honest with the pricing and was WAY cheaper than any dentist I've been to. If you are visiting or live in San Diego don't hesitate to visit Dr. Taylor, I guarantee you, your teeth and your wallet will walk away satisfied.
I cracked two teeth last night and was
in terrible pain. I also did not want to go around town looking like a hillbilly. I searched the web and called Dr. Taylor. From the onset, I could tell that Dr. Taylor was a professional individual who practiced dentistry to help people. He quoted me the amount for the services I might have to receive. Dentistry is definitely not cheap and I do not blame dentists for being cautious about their use of insurance.
When I got to the building I knocked on Dr. Taylor's door, I took a seat, and opened my mouth. When Dr. Taylor examined my teeth, he said that he probably would not need to a root canal (which we had talked on the phone) which saved me $700. Dr. Taylor cleaned and capped my teeth to hold me by until I put permanent caps on. He was expediant, knowledgeable, fair, and overall a great dude. If you have problems with your teeth off hours, Dr. Taylor is a great choice to visit.
AMAZING Dentist, AMAZING SERVICE. Had an EXCRUCIATINGLY painful start to a weekend. My entire face was just aching. Since my dentist was closed, I googled emergency dentist in San Diego, and found Dr. Taylor. I gave him a call, and he immediately answered and said that I could head down there to have my teeth looked at. It turns out that I needed to have my wisdom tooth removed, and also had a problem with a lower molar. Both of the teeth were causing the pain. I can confidently say that he was the best dentist that I have ever had! Even better than my current dentist!! He is a pro. He just knew how and why the novacaine would numb me, and was empathetic to my pain. The tooth extraction itself was easy to handle, just knowing how professional his hands are. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend his services if you happen to have an emergency. He said that he specializes in root canals and wisdom teeth. No Joke, he has been the nicest and most talented dentist I've ever had. His office is a bit tricky to find, its in a professional building nested in a residential area, and its on the 3rd floor. Old dark wood elevator, old building, once off the elevator, hit the main hallway and go right. Thank you Dr. Taylor!!!
Meticulous and Kind. Cracked a molar on a Sunday morning and by noon I was in the dentist's chair, having my first root canal, courtesy of the extremely professional Dr. Taylor. He stated upfront how much the visit would cost and how long it might take. He explained clearly before each procedure what he was going to do every step of the way, which was a relief and put me at ease instantly. He was thorough, organized, friendly, and caused absolutely NO pain! What a great find! My only suggestion is that he should tell people when they call that he's on the 3rd floor to the right, in an otherwise deserted-on-the-weekend building! His name's hard to find at the bottom of a long directory by the elevator.
EXPERIENCED, SENSITIVE DENTIST WITH WONDERFUL CHAIR-SIDE MAN.
When I was a young girl, I broke my front tooth playing soccer and then again while I was in a lifeguard tournament on the Jersey Shore. I had a temporary, plastic tooth fitted to my front tooth at that time, which held up for about 20 years. I have always been very self-conscious about my teeth. Throughout my life, I had never been diligent about seeing a dentist, either, due to the costs of treatment. Without insurance and knowing that I had a very difficult and lengthy dental process in my future, I vowed to see a dentist after I sat for the California Bar Exam. Unfortunately, my plan was thwarted on Friday evening. While eating (of all things) a Subway sandwich, my temporary tooth finally fell out.
I was completely devastated and terrified of seeing a dentist, not only because I had a gaping hole in the front of my mouth, but because I was totally embarrassed and ashamed for not having been treated by a dentist in so many years. I was about to wait until Monday to seek treatment, until my proactive, loving and kick ass boyfriend located Dr. Taylor. After reading his positive patient reviews online, I decided to give him a call.
At 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, I called Dr. Taylor and he personally answered the phone. He was gracious, very helpful and asked me to come to his office at 9:30 a.m. I arrived , broken tooth in hand, a few minutes early for my appointment and Dr. Taylor saw me right away. He sat me down in the dentist's chair and asked me specific and direct questions about what had happened, how I received the temporary tooth in the first place and he was confident that he could help me "smile again."
As he worked, Dr. Taylor was very reassuring and patient with me while I was in his office. While he worked, he explained everything that he was doing with my tooth and also looked at my other teeth to give me an idea as to other problems that would require future treatment. In addition to his stellar dental work, Dr. Taylor told me about how he became a dentist and offered the story of his professional journey over the years. I found this to be very reassuring and realized that Dr. Taylor was most certainly the right choice for me.
When I was sitting in Dr. Taylor's office and listing to him speak of his profession, I knew that he absolutely loved his job and loved helping people. In addition, Dr. Taylor's credentials speak for themselves! He is one of the most experienced dentists that I have ever come across. I had never felt so at ease with any physician in my lifetime. As someone who possesses a deep respect for her own profession, I found it comforting to know that Dr. Taylor was simply meant to be a dentist, loves what he does and is both gracious, fair, funny, smart and possesses a particularly gentle bedside manner that I find is lacking with most in the medical profession.
As I was leaving, Dr. Taylor recommended his own, personal dentist to me so that I could seek follow-up treatment, as Dr. Taylor strictly works on a emergency basis. While I would secure Dr. Taylor's services as my regular dentist in a heartbeat, I believe that this hard working and dedicated man certainly has earned the right to work on his own terms.
At the end of the day, I am grateful for three things that resulted from my dental emergency. First, I am grateful for my boyfriend who cares so much for me and my well-being that he found Dr. Taylor. Second, I am grateful for Dr. Jack R. White, the dentist that Dr. Taylor referred me to because as soon as he heard that I saw Dr. Taylor, his office scheduled an appointment for me right away. Finally, and most of all, I am very grateful for Dr. Taylor. Thank you, Dr. Taylor for making this Jersey girl smile again :)
BEST DENTIST EVER!!!!. Saturday afternoon, the tooth cracked. My husband found dr.Taylor's phone. The Dr. Was so polite and knowledgeable. He did everything to numb my tooth carefully and accurately. It was annoying tooth, hard to extract, yet he was done very soon, less than in half and hour. I wish I could go to such dentist every day. Way to go Dr. Taylor.
WONDERFUL DENTIST!!!!. It was a Sunday morning about 10am and my friend cracked her tooth, was in tons of pain and didn't know what to do. Found Dr. Taylor's name and number....what a lifesaver! Got her in in less than 30 minutes ( he actually drove from his home and met us at the office), fixed her tooth quickly and virtually painlessley and charged a fraction of what he could for such a service. My friend said it was the best novicane shot she's ever had and she has had tons of dental work. He was so caring, gentle and thorough- wish he would go back to full time practice!!!! I would rather pay him out of pocket than go to any of the dentistS on my insurance plan!!! BEST DENTIST EVER!!!!!!!!!
wONDERFUL DENTIST!. tODAY i HAD A DENTAL EMERGENCY,,,A BROKEN TOOTH AND LOST FILLING, And we are leaving for a 2 week vacation tomorrow. Even this it was Satureday he answered my call by 7am and had me in his office by 8:30. He as thorough, gental and expllained every part of the process as he worked to put in a good and strong temporary filling. I wish he had a full time practice, although I am glad for him that he is semi retired and only does weekends. And what a valuable service that is! I read the reviews from others before calling him and agree with you all...he is one in a million! I will continue to use him for dental emergencies for myself and my husband! Thanks Dr Taylor!
Fantastic Caring Wonderful Dentist!. Dr Taylor was just amazing! He got right back in touch with me on a Sunday Morning and I was sitting in his chair an hour and 11/2 later. He then had to spend 2+ hours dealing with my crazy neurotic dental fears! I needed a root canal and he made me so comfortable! He made adjustments to the way he does things to make sure I was as comfortable as possible even though it made the job harder for him. Soooo very patient and caring. A true gem. Price was what you would pay on any day of the week anywhere else which is also incredible! Thank you for taking such great care of me!! I would call him first for any dental needs!
