A variety of fresh-baked bread and healthy, wholesome ingredients define this sandwich chain's made-to-order creations..
In Short
The first Togo's opened in 1968 near California's San Jose State University, serving simple, sizeable sandwiches. Today, the same freshly prepared subs are ordered at the counter where diners choose their bread and toppings. Cold options include the signature avocado and turkey with all-white breast meat, and the Italian--salami, capicolla, mortadella, provolone and cotto. Popular hot subs include the pastrami, piled high with mustard. Veggie sandwiches, soups and salads round out the menu.
Great place for a large sanwich for cheap!.
Today I went to ToGo's for the first time under a friend's recommendation. I was very impressed by how clean the place was and the variety on the menu. The bread was soft and fresh, which is important for a good sandwich. I ordered a Turkey and Avocado sandwich on a Cabilla bread. Very tasty!
my only complaint was the clam chowder was just ok...maybe a 6.5-7/10. It's not the worse I've had, but not that impressive either.
