The ambience here is nice but the few and inattentive wait staff make the whole experience disapointing.
There must be mismanagement since the food quality could be vastly improved and waiters trained. This place has great potential but each time I go and hope it has improved it hasn't.

Great ambiance, terrible food!. The restaurant has fantastic ambiance that stays in your mind for days. However, the cook needs to be replaced immediately! I have been there more than a few times for the beauty and uniquness of the place itself, and everytime I have been disappointed at the service and food quality.

Best Mexican Restaurant in North County. This restaurant has it all, live music on weekends, unique and deilcious dishes with a mexico city flair, beautiful indoor and outdoor dining in a true adobe brick style hacienda, with pond and waterfall. Service is fantastic and the drink menu with specialty house margaritas that are almost sinful. There is also a wonderful outdoor bar area with fire pit and big screen.

Winning Atmosphere, Food and Service. Relaxing to sit under the stars in the courtyard by the pond enjoying great food and mariachi band. Prices are reasonable, service was excellent.

Situated in a restored adobe home from the 1930s, this gourmet Mexican eatery offers a colorful backdrop for a romantic dinner, family gathering or group event. Tropical flowers, waterfalls and ponds surround the outdoor patio, while the indoor dining area features wood-beamed ceilings, Saltillo tiles and handcrafted tables and chairs. Specialties include tequila shrimp, beef tenderloin in a manchego cheese sauce, and chipotlacos, pork carnitas wrapped enchilada style.
