IN SHORT – With four locations in San Diego and a fifth scheduled to open downtown near Petco Park, this taco shop has been a local's favorite for 25 years. Founders Joaquin and Dolores Farfan coined the restaurant's motto "patience is the essence o fine Mexican food" to reflect the fact that all orders are prepared fresh and take a little longer than typical fast food restaurants. Regulars rave about the carne asada fries, California burrito and chicken chimichangas, but the menu also includes several combo plates served with rice, beans, guacamole and tortillas. –
