Do yourself a favor, look for another vet!

Yes they advertise low cost care but they keep you coming back again and again and again. They'll get your money in 60 dollar payments. Don't treat, just keep on testing. Not to mention the staff. You never meet the Dr.??? He stays behind the curtain as if he's the great and powerful Oz. You have to get past the icy, grumpy blonde receptionist first. Good luck with that. I feel uncomfortable as if they're doing me a favor and taking my pet as charity case. I would never, EVER feel good about leaving my pet in their care. They're unprofessional and rude right in front of me. I would hate to see how they treat the animals when the owners are not around. Up sell is the game and if you don't smile with ignorance and fork it over the experience is terrible at this clinic.
Bait & Switch - Don't Go There

Went there to take advantage of the $6 rabies vaccination special (which is available at most of the vet clinics) because it is near my home and convenient. Most clinics have you in and out in 5 minutes for the vaccination. My appointment was at 4:30 and I arrived timely. At 5:10, I asked if there was a problem, as my dog had been in the back room for more than 30 minutes. I was told that law requires a complete examination before the vet can vaccinate the dog. Then I was "offered" a teeth cleaning special for $162.50. My dog is 13 years old, has regular veterinary care, shots, etc. I did not want a sales pitch, nor did I appreciate a 45 minute wait for a routine shot.
Horrible Service

My dog was spayed at Fuert, they originally quoted me around 80 dollars plus pain meds, it was 300 dollars, when I came to pick her up she was bleeding from her incision to the point where they had to take her back to the doctor. I never once saw the doctor. Four days later there were complications and they would not see her free of charge as incidental to the spay because the "incision" looked good even though she was bleeding as if she was in heat. ( in fact i took the her in to them to get her checked out after an the vet didnt even come out to talk to me but stood behind the door like a coward and told the receptionist to tell me they couldnt do anything) I am never taking any of my pets there ever again, Sherri the receptionist treated us like we were trying to pull a fast one on them. We were simply worried about our dog and they just want to run up the charges, borderline crooks if you ask me. .....

Very good service

I had read some negative reviews on other sites about Fuerte Animal Hospital. My boyfriend had been going to see Dr. David for years and assured me that my cat would be well taken care of. I went although I was skeptical. I have to say that I am very pleased with the service. My kitty was seen shortly after we arrived. I had never been so I had to fill out paperwork. Dr. Davis was very attentive and his assistant, Jessica, was also great. They were not pushy about trying to get me to get things done that I didn't want to do. They simply mentioned them as options. I even went back the next day for the follow-up visit since my kitty had a fever when I first took him in. Dr. Davis saw us shortly after we arrived, within 5 min. Dr. Davis and his staff are very firendly and helpful. My kitty and I highly recommend Fuerte Animal Hospital.
