Worst dive bar ever!. I was really excited to check this place out, and had really high hopes that it could be included in my "regular" weekend rounds in the neighborhood. First lost star was on the poor service from the staff upon arrival. Two bartenders (one of them being one of the owners as I would later learn), and a room of less than ten people......wait time to get acknowledged....... fifteen minutes. She was unpleasant to boot. I shuffled off to my seat thinking, this won't turn out good. They host free bands, which is why I came in the first place, so I decided I would ignore the service, and focus on the bands. Everything was looking up, service improved (as well as attitude) and for three bands playing, the place got busy, but not uncomfortably so. But as the third band was a few songs in, disaster struck in the form of the owner, with a mega bad attitude. Whether you run a bar, or a coffee shop, your still in the hospitality industry, and should conduct yourself accordingly. Evidently, he decided he didn't like the style of music the third band was playing (mind you, this band has been around in San Diego for thirty years, and is quite successful). Rather than pulling them aside to speak to them, he walked up, ripped the mic out of the singers hand, and began to yell, cuss, and general conduct himself in a very hostile manner, and kicked them out! If your that concerned about your own personal interest, and not that of the patrons, maybe you should look for a new profession. He followed up his little tirade with calling the police, to escort the band out! I was so disgusted with this display of behavior that I promptly abandoned my 3/4 full pitcher, cashed out, and hit the door. Officially the worst dive bar, or any bar, experience I have yet to encounter and can safely say, I will never return!
