Really like the view. Can hit this place after being on the beach all day. Fav.
Picturesque beach bar. It's almost like something out of a movie. This beach bar has a big patio overlooking the ocean. If you come to visit San Diego and happened to be in Pacific Beach, I completely recommend stopping by for a burger and a beer, you won't be disappointed.
The best place for day drinking in SD - any day!. So it's not a fancy place, it serves burgers, fries, maybe a few sandwiches.......it does have a full bar though and that is not what the place is known for. What gives this place 5 stars is because if you are in San Diego, and it's sunny, Lahaina is open and it's bartenders are ready to get you drunk! It's literally ON the beach, and has cheap drinks. It's great for people watching and that 8am beer and egg sandwich if you are needing it. (And I have needed it.) If it's sunny out don't bother thinking you are going to get a table because you won't - every other slacker in PB is already there! But if you want to drink in the sun, on a deck, this is the place to go! Not a fancy crowd like Tower 23, a little more casual which can be good and bad depending on what you feel like that day.........but fun fun fun nevertheless.........I've had some of my favorite day drinking here............. And yes the bartenders and door guys know me buy name....that is how often I go. The only reason it loses a star is for the fact that beach parking sucks and it's cash only which has caused me on more than one occasion to max out my withdrawal limit at the ATM. Also sometimes it's so crowded I can't move......but that only makes it the place to be, right? Now I'm getting nostalgic for San Diego lazy Mondays.................. ...
best place for the hard rock green flash.
this place is awesome. my home away from home for the sunsets. very full on Sundays and i am sure it will get crazy in summer.
great (rocky) music, reasonable prices, good food and the perfect view over the boardwalk with "Slo-Mo" gliding by. and obviously every night a glorious sunset. I can't wait for DST to enjoy it an hour longer every day.
There isn't a better outdoor patio in San Diego than Lahaina's, which is an arm's length from the boardwalk..
In Short
This tiny watering hole is a rarity among beachside bars. With the patio just a mere bottlecap's throw from the boardwalk, it's one of the few beach bars where you can actually high-five bladers, boarders and joggers as they pass by. Most days, this shack is relegated to a no-nonsense breakfast and lunch menu of omlettes, sandwiches and salads. On weekends (and everyday during summer), it's a post-beach cocktails crowd.
