After years of traveling to Baja California and enjoying fish tacos at beachside stands, Ralph Rubio opened his first restaurant in San Diego in 1983, banking on the south-of-the-border favorite. Today, Rubio's are located throughout the Southwest serving tacos, burritos salads and more. Baja-style fish tacos are the specialty--beer-battered Alaskan Pollack, cabbage and salsa in a soft corn tortilla. Street tacos (carnitas, carne asada, chicken), quesadillas, nachos and taquitos are other popular options.

Ru bios fish taco's are the best you will ever eat. It is my favorite fast food. I crave them, and wish we had one in Michigan. The food is cheap (fast food) but really good.
