worst customer service. i work across the streets from this place and always manage to come in there to get some delicious gelato or italian soda. recently though, i have noticed the customer service level dropping. the 2 teenage boys working the register are just rude and throw pens at customers for them to sign their credit receipts. i am getting transferred to a different location, even if i wasnt being moved, i would never step foot in there again.

While it does possess all the typical acoutrements of the standard 90s coffeehouse (chalkboard menu, pastries from Brad & Cie, musty, dark decor), the Pannikin boasts one attribute unique to any other in San Diego: the mini-chain has been a force on the caffine scene in San Diego for more than 20 years. Each location also features unique gifts, cards and gourmet food items from all over the world to complement the mostly South American beans.
