Worst overall taco shop chain in all of San Diego - I'd rather eat taco bell than Sambreros. This is the worst Mexican food place in all of San Diego. I wouldn?t say the quality of the food is necessarily bad but there is not one thing on the menu I haven't tried that I would ever get again. I've been numerous times because my friend lived within walking distance and I'm still amazed that they can't even make rolled tacos taste good. The food has no flavor, it taste more like Mexican food from a non border town and I would be embarrassed if this is what people thought was San Diego Mexican food. The only reason its still around is that it?s a chain so prude gringos are more likely to trust its food and most locations are open late if not 24hrs a day. I'm San Diego born and raised so trust me if you want good Mexican food go else ware. I'd rather eat taco bell than Sambreros
