Friendly, clean.
We are visiting San Diego. Found Perry's Cafe for breakfast and saw the Super 8 right next door. On the spur of the moment, we went over to check rates, etc. The lady at the desk was friendly, accommodating, and all the other good things one can imagine.
We were immediately given a room on the top floor (as requested), not too far from the office. The room was clean, comfortable, with pillow top beds (a biggy for us), fridge and microwave. There's also a safe in the room at no extra charge.
We stayed the whole three days. Good location with easy access onto I-8, Fletcher Parkway/Broadway where Westfield Mall resides (one of my favorite things), restaurants and a Food-4-Less at Ballentyne and Broadway.
Highly recommended.
Free coffee refills and budget rates make this motel tops with highway travelers..
In Short
The first Super 8 opened in Aberdeen, S.D., in 1974, charging $8.88 a night. Today, the national franchise, with its familiar red-and-yellow sign, still stands for dependable rooms at wallet-friendly prices. A staple for road-tripping families, truck drivers and tour groups, the motel offers complimentary morning coffee and continental breakfasts. Another perk for travelers: Super 8 travel cups may be refilled for free at any of the motel's locations.
