In Short – Surrounding guests with bamboo, palm fronds, exotic flowers and the delicious aroma of pineapple and plumeria, this resort-style spa provides a unique setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. Along with typical day spa services like facials, manicures and pedicures, clients enjoy rituals based on healing techniques from exotic places like Hawaii, Bali, Fiji and Thailand. Awful, rip-off

Over priced, pretentious tourist trap! This is a used car lot type of high pressure selling which are way overpriced, and then they did the bath soaks and the staff basically had their hands out waiting for a tips. Everything is an extra fee. I don't mind a $100 facial, but please don't nickel and dime me. This place will charge you if you miss an appointment or are even late! No breaks, it like they know they are not going to be around for much longer or just do not care.

  • Pros: cute staff
  • Cons: Cost, quaility, service

While at a convention in San Diego, I visited Spa Tiki and was disappointed. On my arrival, the front desk person was overwhelmed and did not acknowledge me for at least ten minutes. When she finally did, it was not a warm greeting. I felt like I was troubling her.

Regarding the treatments, I enjoyed a thoroughly delightful massage, but can't say much about the facial. In my opinion, the treatments are pricey for what you get.

In their favor, Spa Tiki is VERY close to the Convention Center, so if you're on business you can easily sneak out for a little R & R. But, do yourself and your wallet a favor, just have a massage.

Wonderful Experience

by CarlyBBBB at Citysearch

I went to Spa Tiki as part of a large group and was amazed in several ways. First that they could accomidate that many people at once. Second that even at the end of a very long day every employee from front desk to service providers were as happy and cheerful and professional as the must have been at the start of the day. The enviroment was excellent. The services providers really are experts at what they do.

I cannot wait to go back!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pros: the people, the enviroment, the products
  • Cons: the address is a little hard to find go to 3rd and J Street
