A Crowd Pleaser!. I have been ordering cakes from Kona Kakes (KK) for over ten years and their cakes are always a crowd pleaser!

In March, I ordered a cake for a two-person 50th birthday celebration; describing the specifics on email. The cake was Caramel Macadamia Nut with Hazel Nut Cream in the shape of the numbers "50"; smoothed cream all around; piped cream along the top and bottom edges of the cake; caramel drizzled on the top; and the words "Happy Birthday" with the two birthday celebrants names written along the sides of the cake in a particular handwritten font.

This particular cake has a caramel/macadamia nut filling and diced macadamia nuts on top of the drizzled caramel but since one of the celebrants could not have nuts, in addition to asking for only caramel to be drizzled on the top, I also asked that one number be filled with the usual caramel/macadamia nut filling and the other number be filled with just caramel. No...I don't ask for much : )

I received an email back from KK, reiterating my order and confirming the date of delivery...no questions asked!

Although I have been ordering cakes from KK for years, I have never ordered a specially designed cake. The design turned out !a-w-e-s-o-m-e! right down to the detail (pic attached); the cake was buttery and moist; and, as always, the crowd was pleased!
