Want to have your favorite article of clothing repaired or fine-tuned to fit you perfectly? The Alteration Center Encinitas is the place to go! Not only will the owner Andy greet you, but you will also get the quality service you deserve. The Alteration Center Encinitas has been open for over 25 years, but Andy has been the owner since 2005. Andy grew up sewing for a hobby and after studying civil engineering he went back to his passion of designing clothes.
The Alteration Center of Encinitas specializes in custom tailoring, rental tuxedos, wedding dresses and embroidery. They have all kinds of materials to chose from including silk, chiffon and leather. If you have curtains, drapes or cushions they can adjust those as well! There are many tuxedo catalogs that give you the choice of color, fabric and design. Well-known designers in these catalogs are Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Stephen Geoffrey. Andy and his crew are experienced dressmakers and can design outfits from scratch to bring your ideas to reality! His three crew members have more than one hundred years of experience combined! Andy also does in-home service appointments for fittings.
Andy explains, "I love the Encinitas area because it is a nice area with nice people. People like to come into my store because they do not have to buy new clothes, they just have to alter what they already have and like. My bottom line is that you must be happy with my work and then I am happy". He went on to explain that he has a lot of items sent from Neiman Marcus, Sacs Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom's and even a factory in Europe! He supports the community by donating gift certificates to La Costa Canyon and San Dieguito High Schools for prom rentals and fundraising events. The alterations by Andy are reasonably priced and have a promised return date so call for a fitting appointment today!
