Best Thai Around!. We love Siamese Basil! Everything is delicious. Our favorite is the tom yum gai soup, yellow curry, and won tons. That's our go-to. You have the option to get it as spicy or not spicy as you'd like, and just know that anything over 5 is getting out of hand for most individuals.

Friendly service, family-run feel, clean establishment.

Hot and Spicy. What i love about this place is that you can have it any way you want (spicy-wise) it on a scale of 1-10! I have 3 and my husband has 8 and we both love it. We arrive early on weekends because its so popular the lines can run long!

Best Thai food in San Diego-and probably everywhere else as well. This is one of my favorite restaurants ever, the curry is thick and fantastic. They also let you decide how spicy you want it on a 1-10 scale which I very much appreciate, the pad thai is excellent, yummy thai iced tea and coffee. They also offer a delicious flavorful brown rice as well as white. Nothing is too tangy, everything always tastes fresh, there's rarely a wait, and the staff is very friendly. Make sure to get the chicken curry when you go!

I always miss this place!. Unfortunately I live over in Santa Monica, but every so often when I head down to San Diego I ALWAYS eat dinner at Siamese Basil! They have the best Tom ka gui (sp?) (its a coconut soup with lemon grass, mushrooms and chicken) soup in California! and their spicy rating scale is no joke. If you happen to drop by, also try their pineapple fried rice (which is served in a hollowed out pineapple!)
