Wonderful Home away from home. We loved staying at this B&B! It was only one block from the beach so we were able to enjoy morning and evening strolls every day! The room was very clean, beautiful and fully stocked with wonderful food. There were maps and brochures available with information on the close by attractions. It was very centrally located! It was nice to be able to go out somewhere and come back and relax and know that everything you needed was there. The pool looked very inviting, but we went in February so it was too cold to try it out, but looked wonderful! Cant wait to get back and stay again! Norm and Linda were very nice and accomodating as well!! My husband was deployed and didnt get back when we thought and we were able to adjust our days as long as they were open!! This was our first time and a B&B and it was great!!!

Excellent Choice. We were very pleased with our choice to stay at the Beach Hut B and B. The room was perfect, with a fully stocked service kitchen. The fridge and cupboards were well stocked with high qualtiy foods from Trader Joe's and other well know markets, as well as fresh fruits and beverages. We were also pleasantly surprised by the graciousness of our hosts. Norm and Linda were very pleasant and helpful and had a lot of great suggections for things to do and places to see. They took time to print out maps and go the extra mile to be sure we were having a relaxing vacation. I especially appreciated the private, clean, well decorated rooms. Also the location is perfect. So close to the main highways and many attractions. We highly recommend the Beach Hut and will return when we visit San Diego again.

Amazing place in San Diego!. We stayed in the "Garden Room" of the Beach Hut B & B, in a beautifully landscaped patio area with a small swimming pool. The super-helpful owners said that this was the former guest house, but was completely renovated in the last year. Everything was super quality, and looked brand new and sparkling. We have visited many B and B's, and never had such luxurious amenities. Also, this water park area is teriffic and very near everything we wanted to see. If we come back to San Diego, we would never stay anywhere else.

What a Gem of a Find!!! value comfort and style. Oh my goodness! If you haven't made it to Beach Hut Bed and Breakfast you now know what to put on the top of your list. Being ex-military I am amazed and delighted that my husband, much to our mutual surprise, found the cleanest accomodations that we can remember in several decades of traveling. Our decor was beautiful and relaxing. I loved the fact that we were able to walk to the beach and pick up a nearby bite on our way. I thank both Linda and Norm for making our West Coast stay so memorable and we will be back next year!

Great location! Great comfort! Great Hosts! Simply Grrrreat!. What a wonderful experience! Great location! All we did was cross the street to San Diego’s beautiful Mission Bay! Restaurants, beaches and bars were within walking distance from our quiet street.

Our Tuscany room’s recent renovation was fantastic—had a real decorator’s touch! The room was spotless. It had granite countertops, hardwood floors, comfortable bed and sheets, a seating area and a very nice large walk-in shower with the extra touch of organic shampoo and conditioner. There’s a flat screen TV, CD/radio and wireless access.

The kitchenette’s mini fridge was stocked with an array of good quality breakfast and snack items. There were plenty of refreshments, a coffee pot and a microwave. We felt really catered to and carefree.

Just outside our door, we took leisurely dips in the pool. The garden-landscaped spacious patio area had table settings, BBQ, etc. and was very pretty. Beach towels and mats were provided. It felt like our own private hotel suite but at a great value and without the chaos, noise and elevators.

Linda and Norm, Beach Hut B&B’s host-owners, were wonderful—generous and lovely to engage, they readily answered our questions while allowing for our privacy. Beach Hut B&B is a charming space with equally charming hosts. We’ll be back to relax, enjoy and explore. Highly recommended!

Misleading advertising. We looked through many B&B's in San Diego area as we were planning a weekend away. Looking at the pictures on several websites this place looked and sounded better than the others. The cottage looked as if it would be spacious from the outside picture posted and from the interior shot. When we got there we found out the cottage WASN'T the one seen in the picture (that's the front house). Instead, it was a very tiny room in the back yard. The other review here says the bathroom was small,but had a large shower...no, small shower. It smelled musty and stuffy. We were so disappointed we called immediately to let them know we wouldn't be staying and why. We were first told Norm would try to work something out to get us at least part of our money back. He called back and said we would get none of it back because we hadn't given two weeks notice. Which I guess is why they require you to send a check as payment method before you're reservation is secure and put the two week notice claus in the agreement so you have no recourse if dissatisfied. When we expessed our unhappiness over the misleading advertising we were told they'd never had any other complaints. Well, maybe not the other review on this page, but if you check other travel sites you will find some. We will never stay there again and are planning to file a complaint.
