They simply do not honor the Fafco panel ten year warranty. They used to, but about two years ago, decided to heck with our warranty, we'll charge $127 for a 1 minute fix , in my case a leaking panel. I plan to report this blatant unfair business practice to the BBB.

We love this company! They installed our system 7 years ago and it has worked wonderfully. My teenagers swim a lot and we love to have pool parties were are guests can enjoy warm water. We highly recommend Performance Solar to our neighbors and anyone who wants a warm pool. This company is professional and knowledgeable. Their installers and office staff are excellent. You can trust this company and be assured that they will take care of you - like they did for us!

Horrible workmanship. This company does NOT guarantee their work. They purchase the solar panels from another company. Their installation is horrible, any visit to your house will cost you 127.50, no matter what they do. They came to replace the broken panels and tried to charge me an additional $50 to replace the .50 cent metal clamps. I had two different panels so it was going to be an additional $100 which they failed to mention before they came out. Even after doing the work, the panels still leak.

Total nickel and dime scam artists!

Criminals. These guys should be stopped by the department of consumer affairs.

They sold me an expensive pool heating solar system (about 10k) to "save money on gas and be greener". What a joke. What the idiots failed to mention is that by placing the panels on the roof the the roof would be completely ruined. In addition because of the distance from the pool and the height gain of the panels on the roof...the pool equipment was overpressured causing the pool filter to literally blow apart about 5 years after it was installed ($500).

Even worse, they assured me mounting the panels on the roof would not ruin the roof (only 3 years old at the time). WRONG! The installation holes started leaking 3-4 years after the install. They came back out and charged me another $300 to tune up the system and stop the leaks. 1 year later all the original leaks started leaking again as well as 2 or 3 new ones. The inside of my nice wood roof is completely ruined. Now I have to look at 1) moving the panels off the roof, 2)replacing the roof, and 3) replacing/reparing the interior WOOD ceiling. If I am lucky the cost of doing the above 3 things will be about 20,000 but could be more.

So if you add that 20k to the original 10k, your at about 30k to save on cheap natural gas? These guys have cost me more than half the cost of the original pool.

These guys are total ripoffs do not do business with them they have no idea what they are doing.

No after-sales support -- do not use them. Definitely do not use Performance Solar. Once they sell you something, they are gone! There is absolutely no after sales support. The control panel worked ok and had no problem. After 9 months in service, the Solar heating option on the control panel suddenly disappeared... everything else remains and are working ok. I called Performance Solar to see if they could get someone to take a look at the problem. I had to wait one day for the service personel to talk to a technical guy. After a day's wait, I was told that the problem is on the control panel!? When I asked why they think only the solar heating option is having problem, they cannot answer my question. Then she wanted to charge me $125 to send someone down to diagnose the problem. The solar panels and equipment are still under warranty (we had that installed less than 1 year and it is warrantied for 12 years). I am considering reporting them to the BBB and CSLB

We Love It!. We are in our pool day and night now!

We never though a pool could be such a focal point of recreation!

We save money by staying home!

Great Job Performance Solar! We love it!
