The location is perfect to have some drinks and appetizers before a movie.
First time there and it was incredible. Their salad is delicious!!!
We just want something different that day, the service was good and the food was great.
Good food, service and atmosphere. Our group was mixed with adults and kids so the environment was the right noise level for our group. Picnic table style seating also made it really easy and fun for our large group. Local microbrews on tape were execeptionally good and the servers were friendly and generous with tastings.
Great spaghetti and salad for lunch. Plenty for leftovers. Garlic bread is delicious.
Pregnant wife craving pizza for dinner, had to oblige. Good stuff, as always. They also had Stone Brewery's w00tstout on draft, so I couldn't pass that up!
Prior to turning 21 I ate on the Lamppost side exlcusively. My friend and I would sit on the benches, eat the delicious pizza (My second favorite in town. And that's a CLOSE second) and play the trivia game on the TVs. There's sports playing absolutely everywhere and the arcade always had newer games to play. Yes, kids ran around and it got loud and occasionaly it would take a while, but it's pizza. That should take 20 minutes MINIMUM if it's to be any good.
Then I turned 21 and my world changed. The bar side became my new home. The outside patio, my new backyard. While this may make me sound like an alcoholic, I drank more Mountain Dew than beer here anyway. But that's not to say I haven't had my fair share of beer here. I'll admit their original brewer was by far my favorite, but the current one is doing a damn fine job of crafting both the original Lamppost flavors as well as his own creations.
I can go in here on a Wednesday afternoon and be greated by both employees and guests alike and that's what keeps bringing me back. That Cheer's feeling of being somewhere everybody knows your name. On a busy movie-opening weekend it can be packed (adjacent to Vista's only metroplex), so don't go expecting things to be snappy. They have suggestions for quick dining on their menu so you don't miss your movie. They also have great specials and do really fun promotions during sports seasons.
Last, but certainly not least. If I was a connoiser of anything, I would say it's the Buffalo Wing. Lamppost has hands down, the best wings I have ever had in my life. Try them. Love them. They'll love you in return.
I visited this place after having seen my dentist in the same shopping center. I really enjoyed their specialty pizza and their chicken wings. Generous sized portions and great taste.
