In Short – With a decor of dark wood, leather upholstery and soft lighting, this clubby steakhouse has a warm, upscale feel. The menu's focus is prime beef (aged up to four weeks), from bone-in rib eye and filet mignon to New York strip drizzled with bearnaise sauce. Classic seafood offerings include lobster tails, steamed crab legs and wild Alaskan salmon; sides, served a la carte, include baked potato and chipotle mac and cheese.
Editor's Tips

Best place for a steak
by ciscodan at Citysearch
Well folks, it had to happen. I am a true Morton's fan, my favorite place for a filet mignon, but I am here to tell you that Flemings has stolen my heart.
I have eaten here many times over the years, and have always loved the steaks, people, location, etc. But Morton's always seemed to beat them in my overall standings (Morton's 98, Flemings 96). I am here to tell you that my new favorite is Flemings! Yes, that's right, Flemings.
The New York steak at Flemings is the BEST I have ever had, the staff is very friendly, professional, and does whatever it takes to make you happy. I love Flemings.
PS, they also have the best Happy Hour prices in town. If you go before 7pm, you can get the best burger you have eaten for $6.
I will see you there.
Great Dining

We made reservations a month in advance, and I'm glad we did. We pulled right up to valet, walked right in and were seated right away. We ordered bottled water and were served a starter of Cabernet infused Goat Cheese and Champagne infused Brie with crostini and vegetables. You can't beat that for free! So we skipped the appetizers and ordered. We knew what we wanted before we got there. We both got Steamed King Crab Legs, already cracked, served with Drawn Butter.
Nice place, great food and service

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday, since I had heard what good food they had and we were impressed. The only downer was that I had took him to get prime rib (his fav) and come to find out they only serve it on Sunday???? Not sure what that is about but he ended up getting the lobster instead and said it was yummy! The staff was super nice and always making sure we had all we needed. Would recommend unless you want prime rib...don't forget it's only there once a week!
- Pros: Atmosphere, food, staff
- Cons: parking

Lives up to its name and expectations. Fleming's is a place to get a superior steak. I recommend the filet but I have also tried the prime rib-both are excellent and are complimented by great variety of apetizers, salads and wines. Overall, a great atmosphere for fine dining and a classic steakhouse exprerience.
- Pros: Best Filet
- Cons: $$$$
BEST of the steakhouses

Flemings is THE place to go for steaks. We've done Ruths (too expensive, average steaks, OK side dishes), Mortons (great steaks, noisy ambience, dull side dishes) and Donovans (WAY too stuffy). This place is (like Goldilocks said) "just right." The first time I ate there was after a grueling day downtown taking an 8-hour exam. My dining partner and I were dressed for that, not dinner. In spite of our sweat pants and t-shirts, we were seated at a decent table and treated well by the friendly staff. I've received the same treatment each time I've returned.
The steaks are perfectly prepared; the Flemings potatoes with just a hint of jalapenos, and the creamiest creamed spinach I've ever tasted, are side dishes you just have to taste. Asparagus must be grown specially for the restaurant because it's always crisp and very tasty, especially with the fabulous bernaise sauce. I'm allergic to seafood, but my dining companion often orders the scallops in lobster sauce. She says it's awesome. The Flemings salad is really good - a mixture of tart cranberries and sweet nuts in a flavorful vinaigrette dressing.
Flemings has great wines to accompany any of their dishes. Their desserts, if and when you have room for them, are spectacular. FIVE stars every time!!
- Pros: STEAKS, side dishes, ambience
- Cons: parking
