Editorial Review for Can Can – by Anna Roth
In Short
Romance is in the air at this atmospheric Pike Place supper club, nudged along by intimate nooks, Parisian music, low lighting, wall murals of can-can dancers, candlelight--and can-can girls performing every hour from 7pm to 10pm. The wooden saloon-style bar is perfect for casually observing the action, but a rambling dinner makes an entertaining night out, and menu items, including pasta and seafood, are prepared fresh from Market ingredients.

I Took my wife for her birthday a few weeks ago on a Sunday for dinner and "The Breaking" vaudeville show. The ambiance felt like something out of Puccini's La Boheme. We half expeced to see Mimi and Rodolpho seated nearby. It was fairly crowded by showtime so who knows, maybe they were? The drinks were well made and the service was fine. Our waitress was attentive suggestiing a muddled berry and champagne matrini called a Bella Ruse (I think?) that was tasty. My wife had a Margarita that was fair, commenting that she has had better. The food was good and intersesting. The Can Can salad and the buffalo lasagne are both great choices. The chicken was good but unmemorable. The show, "The Breaking", supplied with live music courtesy of "The Bad Things" was a pleasant joy and highly recommended. The place was packed with a mostly twenties crowd who came to see the enegetic dance troupe that did amazing things with the limited area they have to work with. It is the kind of place I would without hesitation take out of town visitors to experience. Overall it was an enjoyable evening, although a bit more pricy than expected. It's great to know that there are young bohemians entertaining the masses in places like The Can Can.
Pros: Ambiance, dance and live music
Cons: A bit pricy

Great Staff. We love coming here for the terrific service and treatment we receive. The bartender "Zack" is one of the best in Seattle. We really have enjoyed the shows....It makes for a wonderful time for friends visiting and showing off our great city. The dancers are beautiful. It's a wonderfully dark bar with lots of atmosphere
