The new PF Changs. I love PF Chang but if you want something a little more authentic and with a spicier kick then go to Red Pearl Kitchen. Good food and a great bar/lounge if you want to meet there for drinks after work or before you go out to the clubs.

Scene is good, food is even better. When the waitperson tells you it is "family style", they mean it!! Portions are HUGE. Dined with two others, we ordered three entrees to share and had tons left over. I would suggest an appetizer or two and only a few entrees, depending on the size of your party. The food is very reasonable and delicious. Don't miss the scallop entree.....it is unbelievable. Pass on the pad thai, though.....I have had better takeout. The signature cocktails are well worth it, even though they cost more than some entrees.

Upscale downtown Asian eatery buzzes with well-heeled 92101ers at the bar and foodies sharing plates from the eclectic, spicy menu.. The Scene
Wander down the curved pathway from the door to the bar and dining room to enter one of downtown's most buzzing scenes. Red walls, black furnishings, lanterns and basket weave ottomans give this downtown hot spot an edgy, Asian ambiance. Flat screens, exposed industrial lighting and the crowd of young, downtown club-goers add an urban twist. Standard pan-Asian categories organize the menu--dim sum, noodles, wok dishes--but the preparations are anything but ordinary. Wok-fired cashew chicken packs a punch with a spicy garlic sauce and crunchy celery, while the fried rice pleasantly surprises with pulled chicken and mango chunks. Edamame are flash roasted instead of steamed and lettuce wraps come with crispy duck, mushrooms, and spicy peanut puree. If the hot, hot menu gets your pulse racing (it will), a sweet scoop of mandarin ice cream or a sake-poached pear are the perfect cool down.
