Editorial Review for Green Flash – by Maren Dougherty

In Short
Every table in this on-the-boardwalk restaurant has an ocean view, and many claim to see a "Green Flash" at sunset when the tip of the sun meets the horizon and fades from view. The casual eatery's menu is also from the sea, marked by daily fish selections in different preparations such as charbroiled, blackened or grilled. Locals often come for breakfast, available until mid-afternoon, or stop in after a late night in PB.

My husband and I arrived around 7:30 pm on a Saturday night without a reservation and were surprised to be immediately seated at a nice table with an amazing ocean view. Other restaurants in the area had wait times of up to 2 hours so we were really surprised to be seated right away. Our server was just fantastic. He anticipated every one of our needs and then some. He was friendly and helpful without being overly intrusive. We both had grilled fish and it was delicious. Being from the north coast I'm very pick about salmon, but this didn't disappoint! Try the grilled calamari appetizer - different, but very good! Would definitely return here again!

I guess you can only see the green flash certain times of the year. When I ate here, I didn't see it. The food was decent but the service could've been better. The seafood could've been better considering it was right on the ocean! Still, the patio was neat and it'd be cool to actually see a green flash here sometime.
