In Short
Sprawling across 189 acres on Mission Bay, San Diego's popular amusement park features Shamu, the killer whale, in a splashy stadium show that often gets audience members wet. Other popular attractions include Dolphin Discovery, Penguin Encounter, Wild Arctic, and Haunted Lighthouse, a 4-D adventure with sharks and ghosts. Along with aquariums, tidepools and numerous kid-friendly exhibits, visitors enjoy fireworks, musicals and water rides like Shipwreck Rapids and Journey to Atlantis.

Disney World may be the happiest place on earth... but I'm here to say that Sea World has got to be next in line. Going back to visit as an adult, I can say it was an incredible experience. The park was CLEAN and the staff was knowledgeable. Who knew that the fur of an otter is NOT attached to their skin?!? Just one of the many things I learned on this trip. Such a fun and educational day for people with families or just an outting with friends.
