TERRIBLE SERVICE
by Bronco78
My 2 friends and I went to Ciro's on a Saturday night around 12:20am. They didn't have any plain cheese pizzas in the window. Fine. But when we asked when the next plain cheese pizza is going to be made, this threw the employees at Ciro's for a loop. You would've thought we asked them for a pizza they've never heard of before...like pizza with apples on top or something. The girls at the counter didn't know, and when we asked if they could make one for us, they asked the guys making the pizzas, who in turn just shook their heads. What? You can't make a plain cheese pizza? Finally we convinced them too (as the line behind us was growing longer), and when we said we wanted to order and pay for our slices, they said they couldn't do it until the pizza came out. At which point of course we would have to get back at the end of the line, wait in it, just to get up front and potentially have there be no plain cheese pizza left. At that point, I went to go grab my one friend who had ordered the specialty slices that were available in the window, and who was eating it in the seating area, and also to use the restroom. Well, they close the area off at 12:30am. So, I couldn't go back to sit with my friend, nor could I use the bathroom (even if I had pizza in my hand, it didn't matter. They just close off the seating area and restroom at 12:30). At which point we left and went to Hoboken pizza in PB, who gave us a fresh slice of plain cheese immediately, and I was able to use the restroom. I can't believe Ciro's is able to stay in business considering how clueless and rude the workers are. After reading the other reviews, it seems I am not the only one who has experienced this, and not only at the downtown location either! Too bad, because I liked the pizza last time I ate it. Now I'm boycotting and telling everyone else that I know to do the same.
- Pros: Pizza isn't bad, if you get what you want
- Cons: The people that work there
Zero Stars if possible

Usually get Bronx Pizza in Hillcrest and should have done it this time. Ordered 2 pies, 1 cheese and 1 Sicilian with sausage. First the Cheese was cardboard, overcooked and cold with no sauce(and I don't like allot to begin with) cheese was burnt and again I say was thin cardboard. Sicilian was awful the wax paper they put on top pulled all the cheese off and the sausage was like rabbit poo, just like Dominoes. We never do this but we actually called and got our money back, threw it away and ordered Bronx.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Many
another rush job

just recieved another pizza that should have been left in the oven another 5 minutes. The store on university is a mystery. Sometimes the best new york style pizza in town and sometimes an under cooked mess. For $20.00 bucks I'm glad to wait an extra ten minutes. Slow down and do it right, people will wait for quality.
- Pros: usually good
- Cons: Rush job
