Mimi's Restaurant in Santee, California. Everytime I've visited this location, the employees have been very friendly and helpful. Good service and good food. The bread is awesome, but you have to request it if you come in for lunch. I especially love their french toast plate for breakfast. I don't know what they do to the french toast, but it's the best I've ever had. The grilled meatloaf is very good, however, Mimi's REALLY needs to lighten up on the salt in the gravy. The gravy was so salty, I had to scrape it off my meatloaf and potatoes. I asked my mom to taste the gravy without telling her why and she made a grimace and commented about the overkill with the salt. Overall, I would rate this restaurant a 4 and I would definitely come back.
