Porkyland is so overrated.. I heard all of the rant of how great Porkyland was in La Jolla. It was soooooo overrated. First off, Trying to park in a mini strip mall with 10 parking spaces and 5 out of the 10 are marked 5 minute parking only??? It's like what the hell is this? Other than that parking is a total nightmare. We had to park 4 blocks away and walk, because there is no parking available in downtown La Jolla what-so-ever. The when we arrive there we are waiting to see their low prices that everyone talks about. $ 5.00 for a Carne Asada Burrito??? Thats a bargain??? Most Carne Burritos are around $ 3.50 on the average at taco shops. What a rip off.....and on top of the that, the burrito was small with hardly any meat in it. Paid $ 5.00 for a burrito the size of a chimichanga. The last thing was the cashier was rude and when I was telling her my order she would cut me off and talk over me saying " OK OK THAT'S IT? like 3 times in a row before I could finish my sentence or what I was saying. So my wife and I ordered 1 burrito, A plate of 6 small rolled taquitos and 2 large sodas. Almost came out to $ 20.00. Muy muy exspensive....How is that getting your money's worth?? Totally overrated and the atmosphere and customer service was terrible. Other than that the food was good, but nothing spectacular. You can find better taco shops in San Diego by far then Porkyland.
