Incredible. The whole experience was breathtaking. The desserts were the best in my opinion and I will go back on that simple merit.
Had a Great Time. I was delighted about the whole experience; the food was good the service was great ofcourse its a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
Best Desserts in San Diego. There's a reason why they were ranked best of City Search, its apparent in the desserts. I day dream about there mouth watering carrot cake.
Great atmosphere and delicious food. We love George's. I think the menu is perfect and the view sublime. Some times a member of the staff is pretentious; but for the most part they are cool.
The View, the View!.
Made reservations here on opentable this week for Mother's Day up in the Ocean Terrace dining.
My boyfriend and I tried to stop in this place last year but the wait was to long so it has been on my bookmark ever since. It was worth the wait!
Menu is limited... not a lot of choices very concise. There are 3 Restaurants here so do your research before deciding each are very nice but only the Terrace has the FANTASTIC outside open view. We went today Mother's Day and we sat right at a 4 top near the clear railings. Our server was Cynthia she was very attentive, friendly and just AWESOME!
We started with drinks and a appetizer of Chips and Salsa (asked for a side of Guacamole) they bring out a "thistle" full of Guac so don't get your hopes up =/ Little Bit (my 20 year old daughter) ordered Eggs Benedict with a Meyer Lemon Hollandaise Sauce, Virg - the Famous Fish Tacos, Mo - Eggplant Panini and myself - Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Little Bit moaned throughout her meal so that is the first indication that this dish was THE BOMB-SKITTY!! All plates were pretty but I don't think anyone enjoyed their meal as much as Little Bit did :) the rest of the table was pleased but not as enthusiastic as my daughter. Virg and I both had Blood Orange Margaritas they were meh nothing spectacular... NEXT UP Blood Orange Mimosa (I had to request that they make this concotion as it is not on the menu) MOST delicious and refreshing I downed that bad boy and ordered Uno Mas! :) BTW it was cold today but the heaters worked really well.
Our dessert was... (drum roll please) Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake GOOOOODDDD LAAAAAAWWWWRRRDD!!! that is crack in a medium sized shot glass is what THIS IS!!! topped with Bananas and sweetened mascarpone we also ordered the Berry Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream but all 4 of us were fighting over that Toffee Pudding Cake... my only comment is Carmelized those Bananas and you would make guests toes CURL!!!
We never felt rushed either by the way which says A LOT for a restaurant on Mother's Day granted we were there @ 10:15am in the morning before the rush began but still it was nice to just sit there and catch up with our daughters. We parked in a parking structure next door... WHY WAS IT $10.00!!?? WTH? Anyhoo with so many choices for a beautiful view to eat in La Jolla I have to say that I was quite pleased with this selection and highly recommend it if you are in the area but MAKE RESERVATIONS in advance.

Forever views, and good food. First of all, you have a choice, do you sit downstairs and pay more, or do you sit up top, open air, with forever views of the ocean and spectacular sunsets? SIT UP TOP!
When you sit up top, not only do you get the views, but you get great food and very reasonable prices. The bar offers great value and inexpensive prices on tequila shots.
If you want to impress a date, this is where you take her. Don't disappoint us guys, take the girl out for a fun and romantic dinner. Lunch is nice, but dinner with a sunset is even better.
Tough Critic. Had two very good lunches at George's. The first during the week, so seating was not an issue. The seond on a late Saturday afternoon and the wait after being told 45 minutes turned into 1&1/2hrs.. Don't ask why I stayed, cause I don't have a good answer. Anyway, the place is a bit snooty and yes expensive, but we still enjoyed it UNTIL....we returned for their advertised Happy Hour. Let me tell you, this is an insult and one of the worst Happy Hours I've ever experienced. A very limited menu and forget the seating on the "balcony" because they won't let you sit there unless you are ordering dinner, never mind we arrived early at 3PM and the place was empty. Now tell me this going in and I don't have a problem, but advertise otherwise and I do. Lost me as a customer, not that they probably care.
Great La Jolla Dining Experience.
George's is the perfect spot for late summer dinner in La Jolla. Sitting on the upper deck, you have a bird's eye view of the Pacific coast. Try the mussels for an appetizer -- excellent. The spaghetti with clams was great for dinner.
If you're in La Jolla and in the mood to splurge a bit, George's is the perfect spot.
Great for a Fancy Night out.
I've only been to George's at the Cove twice- once on a date and once when my parents took me but both times
were a positive experience.
It's located in a great spot near the ocean and the service is excellent.
GREAT LUNCH VIEW. The view from the open terrace is amazing during the day, so bright and airy. It was very noisy and I don't even know if there was music playing at all. The service was good, the bussers kept our water very full all the time. My friend had the burger w/ aged cheddar and bacon- which was excellent and worth every penny. I had the 'most popular dish' I was told- the fig mustard, ham, and arugala panini. It was okay. The figs were so sweet and syrupy that was all one could taste, and no taste of mustard was to be found if there was supposed to be. The side salad and the fries were also great. they promptly brought us our check when ready.
