Ditto that. It took years to find the person who finally gave my difficult hair a good cut. Saw her every 6 weeks for last 5 years. (followed her from the Clairemont store) Called for appt...no longer there. I do believe the owner has personal issues. While the poor stylists live with job insecurity.

Worst Salon Owner in Town. This crusty old man they call Michael Rothman has no business cutting hair. First off his store in La Jolla was too busy since he is too cheap to keep it propperly staffed. Michael was too busy demeaning his stylists to even notice that I was waiting for a hair cut and style. Once he did notice me he decided to cut my hair himself and let me tell you he has no business cutting hair these days. I felt like he was I was reporting to the Marines the next day as he gave me a good old fashioned buzz cut despite my request for something "ladylike" and "trendy". Then there was that awful smell coming from his breath....EEEUW!!! ..I almost tossed my cookies. I do not recommend that anyone sit in a chair with Michael Rothman as he had the audacity to tell me that he gave me a great haircut and try to sell me on the fact that he gives classes on styling. Most of the gilrs there are great so it is obvious that they are not taking lessons from Michael himself. Some of my favorite girls are no longer there so I will not be patronizing Rothmans from here on out.

I love all of the girls there. I have been going to Rothmans for quite some time now and I just had to say the girls there all are very good. I never request any one stylist because I love them all. Thanks you girls so much for the years of wonderful service.

Horrible customer service. The girls that answer the phone are rude with an attitude....I've tried to make an appointment for 2 days now and I keep being put on hold...yesterday I gave up after 5 mins...and today when I told her not to leave me on hold it was for another long wait...then she answers with an attitude...I'd be somewhere else in a second if I didn't need one today...

Horrible Colorist KATRINA!. Do not have your color done by Katrina. She turned my light blonde hair to a ashey green with dark brown highlights!!! I simply asked to be a tow head like the girl that worked there. After spending 3.5 hours & being fully charged ($140) I had to return the next day for correction with another girl. Color is still not the same & Wedding is soon. WAY OFF THE MARK, never had problems anywhere else, I have had blonde hair for over 12 years. I wish I never stepped foot in this place!!! I never complain but, really hope this helps someone out.
