Best Salon. Located in La Jolla, the atmosphere was great, and the service was amazing. Overall, the result was the best I have gotten out of the many salons I have been to. I got root touch ups, highlights and low lights. Together everything looked natural and my hair was not fried in the end. I would recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a great hair treatment by friendly staff.
Great Salon!. Charming salon with a terrific group of talented stylists. Everyone is super accommodating. It has a great atmosphere and is reasonably priced. Eva is outstanding with color and cuts. Book early!!
GREAT SERVICE!. I genuinely got great service here- and I have been getting compliments. :) THANKS GUYS!!
Nice and relaxed atmosphere. I have been wanting to try a Brazalian Blow Out (straightener-sort of) on my curly hair for some time. I found Elias Salon on the internet and gave it a try. They did an excellent job, my hair is super soft and manageable, but not bone straight which is what hair relaxers did to my hair. The staff and the stylist that did my hair made me so confortable and relaxed they knew what they were doing which made me confortable enough to get my hair done there. The salon is low key and the price was very reasonable. I went a week later and got a mani/pedi and I enjoyed that and felt that it was not an "assembly line" mani/pedi. I just think this place is great, casual, relaxed, great stylists and reasonable price. I highly reccomend it, and have in fact sent a couple of co-workers to Elias Salon. By the way I am going to go back to do my color and highligtes next week.
BAD!.
The worst Salon I have ever been to. Do not go to this place it is bad! I went for a trial run hair style for my wedding. Originally it was suppose to be free and I would pay for the hair on the wedding day. The day before the appt, Elias told me people were taking advantage of this and it would be 60 then 30 on my wedding day. Which the whole reason I booked an appt. with them was because the trail run was free, but I didn't make a fuss and said ok.
I was getting my hair curled and the hair stylist burned my head twice. The first burn, I did say something to her and moved her hand. The second forehead burn (when it first happened) I wasn't sure how bad it was. The hair style itself, I thought I liked it but you only see your hair for 2 secs before you go home. When I got home, I had a blister on my forehead. (It is visible, and I still have a layer of skin missing. It has been about 2 weeks) I really checked out the hair style and it looked like a style someone would do for lunch with their girlfriends.
I called the next day and talked with someone. He said Elias would have to be the one who would refund my money, and he would leave a message for Elias to call me back. Well of course, I did not get a phone call back. I called back and Elias answered and said he would call me back in a few days because the weekends are so busy. I never got a phone call, so I called him back and he happened to answer so he couldn't avoid me. Elias began yelling and was extremely rude, telling me that they have video cameras and I didn't say anything at the time. I seemed happy when I left. Which I understood, I should have said more at the time, but i knew it hurt but wasn't sure if it really did anything. Plus I do not like being a complaining person because I have been in customer service for about 8 years and I understand what it like to hear a customer complain! If I had ever yelled at a customer the way Elias yelled at me, I would have been fired! Elias did say why don't you come back in for a redo. I said absolutely not, I do not want blisters from curling irons on my wedding day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took pictures of my forehead when it happened and what it looks like now. Also after showing my hair to friends and sending pictures of the hair style, they ALL said NO! I am the customer but yet I was being yelled at. Then Elias said he would have to talk to his hair stylist and get back to me to refund the money. I told him that if i didn't hear from him in a few days I would call back.
Well of course he did not call back, I called him AGAIN and left another message, but I will be very surprised if he calls me back. Not only did the hair not turn out, but I got a burned 2 times, and VERY BAD customers service. Customer service is one of the most important part of a business that does a service.
This client scheduled a wedding consultation for her and three bridesmaid. On the phone, before her arrival it was discussed and understood that getting a practice wedding up-do is not free. However I told her I would do this for half-price, giving her the discounted up-do on the day of her wedding. I was there when the client came in for her hair, everything went well and when she came to the counter she said she was pleased and tipped the hairstylist. She called days later asking for her money back since she decided to do it hair self. Any other accusation is not true; I have video and audio cameras that record 24 hours a day. I reviewed the recordings and there were no complaints, irritation, or discomfort from the client, on the contrary, it shows her smiling and very happy. I feel we made good faith effort to please the client and I wish her a happy wedding.
Wedding Jitters. I wass nervous about finding a salon with hair stylists that are good with updos and wedding styles, make up and even nails in the La Jolla UTC area. I googled wedding and hair salon and found Elias Salon and Spa. I called and they offered me a free consultation with the stylist. My wedding was two weeks ago (just back from our honeymoon) and I must say looking at our wedding pictures reminded me that I want to review this great salon and wonderful hair stylists. Me and my bridal party were very happy with the hair and make up when we were done on my wedding day. It was easy to see that the salon is used to a large group. The stylist that did my hair is also a color specialist so I booked my next color with her which is a week from now. Thanks Elias Salon for helping me make my wedding the best day of my life.
Excellent Massage. I have to say i recieved a fantastic massage over at elias salon and spa-I FEEL GREAT! Gilbert the therapist was very skillful and very attentive to my needs and concerns. I will definitely be back soon to make another appointment. 5 stars to this salon and spa!
Great Brazilian Blowout!. I'd been wanting to get 'the Brazilian' straightener done on my hair for some time and a woman I work with told me about this salon. They did an excellent job. My hair is super soft and manageable. It looks like I spent hours on it, so glad I finally did it. The price is also reasonable and the staff is very low key, not stuffy at all. I also had a manicure and pedicure the next week, they use good quality products, they don't skimp like many other mani/pedi places do. Good place. I recommend it.
Love my cut and highlights!. I am new to San Diego and saw that this salon got great reviews on Citysearch, so I went in for a haircut and highlights. I loved the cut – the stylist really listened to me and also had some unique recommendations so that my hair would frame my face. And the highlights turned out great too, the color is beautiful and my hair didn’t dry out like it usually does after I get them done. The location is convenient, right across from UTC shopping center and there's lots of free parking. I will definitely go back!
