High price yet unprofessional & poor workmanship.
Spent >$20kon my remodel
- Workers used my tools, & my primer to complete the job, the latter of which was explained 'because they didn't bring enough'.
- During delivery of cabinets, tile in entry was broken
- During the cabinet install, the walls & ceiling were gouged. They brushed over the areas cosmetically, but the only way to make it blend is for me to REDO the walls & ceiling.
- During the appliance install, the cabinets were gouged. Which they applied a crayon 'fixer' which is a different color than the cabinet stain.
- During the tile install, a red 'sealer' was applied to my floor first. The workers tracked this into my condominium common areas, making me liable for the repair of the carpet.
- The tile installers sent 3 people at 3 different times to verify my installation instructions (direction of the tile, placement, etc). They still began laying the tile incorrectly, and 'trashed' approximately 10 sq ft of my tile in their error.
- The workers left major amounts of construction waste in my unit which, even after alerting Bardon to the error, I was forced to complete myself at my own cost ($200)
- The workers were very unprofessional using profanity in Spanish. I am in San Diego. Most of us know at least a few swear words in Spanish. They also left their trash in piles, which included fruit, Starbucks cups, fast food wrappers, etc.
- My sink was seriously scratched during the counter top install. Bardon has offered to 'fix' this by polishing out the scratches. It is highly unprofessional for this to have occured and now I am left with damaged merchandise due to their negligence and must accept a cosmetic repair.
- My water was installed backwards, with hot water flowing to my ice maker and cold water flowing to my dishwasher.
- One of their selling points is that you have a Project Manager who is available via cell phone 7 days a week. She returned maybe 1/2 the calls I made and fewer emails I had sent. They do NOT tell you that she is the owner's wife. She treated me with severe attitude (example: when she came to my unit and we met for the first time face to face, she just walked right by me and sneered at me - of course, this is after we had words on the phone about her failure to return phone calls or emails)
- The unit was unoccupied for a period of time. During this time, the owner & project manager and others entered my unit without any prior authorization, notification or approval.
- Materials I was apparently charged for were left at my unit that apparently were not needed for the job, including an entire box of joint compound, a full bag of sheet rock setting compound and a full roll and a half of joint tape. If these products were full, unopened containers, I was overcharged and should have been credited.
- The tile installation was an incredibly poor job, with tiles uneven and the grout cracked. Bardon has offered to fix this, but only the visible grout areas. It remains that I paid for a good job over my whole kitchen, but have to settle for mere cosmetic repair.
- Bardon required full payment for their work months (nearly 2 full months) before they finally installed the last of my cabinet doors. As of this date (8/18), Bardon has yet to fulfill any repairs except for swapping the water.
