Top notch service

By far the best in the business, I got not only a great deal but was told, we will not sell you a bow if we cant find one that you can shoot well and keep it on budget for what you can afford, being active duty, that helps. I also got several hours, mind you, not a "few minutes" of dedicated coaching and excellent advice from Bruce and Jim, as well as great pointers from diehard customers that want your experience to be the best...great store, the best staff, and the friendliest atmosphere next to your neighbor hood pub...no BS, just Right...Thank You for your dedication to the sport!
Best bow shop in the world! The only place to go in SD.

My experiences in the past had shown me that bow shops were slightly impolite and were not helpful unless you were going to make a big purchase. I was pleasantly surprise when I found the “Bow -N-Arrow Shop” in Lakeside, CA. I was greeted by a very helpful and pleasant staff, the owner, of the shop Bruce Marshall was extremely informative and did not try to push me into any sale. I can’t speak highly enough of “Bow -N-Arrow Shop” Bruce Marshall and Jim Velazquez, they are wonderful. I can honestly say that I love archery because of the people we have met at the Bow and Arrow Shop. Bruce Marshall and Jim Velazquez are two of the finest representations of the sport.
- Pros: Extremely informative and friendly staff and not pushy.
- Cons: There are none!
Dishonest and didn't know what they were doing

I ordered a no peep sight from them for 53.00 as opposed to eagle archery online who are selling them for 33.95. They charge more because they "install and get it all tuned up for ya included in the price" After waiting two weeks instead of the one they said it would take I brought my bow in. They didn't really know where to put it. After they decided on a spot, they didn't really know how to adjust it, after I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT CAME WITH IT, I realized he had no idea what he was doing. He put it in the wrong spot and kept trying to crank on the adjustment screws after he had already cranked down on the locking screws. After I got it home it took me about 10 minutes, it was simple. Then they charged me another 20.00 for tuning it after they said it was included in the price, that's dishonest. All in all I paid 73.00 for a part that cost 33.95 and had to reinstall and tune it myself. Don't let them touch your bow unless you feel like putting in the time to fix it afterward and don't mind shelling out 40.00 extra for no reason at all.
- Pros: They act nice
- Cons: Charged more than the agreed price and messed it up
This archery shop has earned my business

I decided to get into bow hunting this year. I bought a bow back in my home town to use for this hunting season and lets just say I got screwed horribly. I was sold a youth bow and told that it was within regulations for hunting. I went into the Bow and Arrow Shop to make sure it was tuned correctly before I went to practice at a 3D range. That's when I was given the horrible news that my bow wasn't within hunting regulations.
Long story short, due to one special man my hunting season isn't ruined and I have to say this is by far the best sporting goods store I have ever been to hands down. I have never experienced such excelent customer service, Jim went out of his way to get me set up with all the knowledge I needed to get started and then he spent well over an hour coaching me on the range. I am greatly in debt to the guys at the shop and especially one special man that made sure that my first bow hunting season would not be my last.
- Pros: Excelent Customer Service & Archery Knowledge
- Cons: Not a darn thing

Hands down and unquestionably the best bow shop in the San Diego area. Bruce continually goes out of his way to ensure complete understanding and satisfaction and when coupled with his great attitude and customer service is simply unrivaled. Thanks a lot.
