I have been to Hacienda del Patron at least 3 times and every time I go in I ask myself why did I return?The
buffet is overpriced and the service leaves a lot to be desired. I do love the Mariachi music and the drink specials are pretty good.Unfotunately if you ever go during an event (live boxing,football etc..)the services goes south. The big screen tv's are a plus for the Chula Vista residents begging for a sports bar atmosphere. All in all,I guess the main reason I return is for the hope that maybe the next time I walk in with my family or friends the service will be much improved.

Best carne asada and chile relleno plate, good mariachi musice and awesome margarita.

This place has the best carne asada and chile relleno plate. It was a long drive from La Jolla but the food was worth the drive and the mariachi music was great. The service was helpful and attentive. It exceeded my expectations.
