We ordered a significant number of windows, sliders and doors from Bede and as a professional construction project manager I will never use their products ever again!

The Products

Well, like stated before, it's Made in China. Several collapsible doors were delivered with some serious cracks in the vinyl. Needed to be replaced, Bede offered to "patch them".

The windows are ok and operate correctly. This can't be said from the sliding doors nor the collapsible doors!

The sliders don't really glide on the track the way they are supposed to even-tho the fr<x>ame is square and plum.

Same with the collapsible doors. They tend to come out of alignment meaning that once this happens, you can't close the doors anymore... You have to call in to have them serviced (which works at first but then, they simply ignore your calls).

Bede claims it's because of the weight of the glass... Since it's a dry set with shims, the glass can shift (vibrations, shocks, temperature changes, etc.). In other words, use the doors and they will malfunction 100% guaranteed.

They sent some "specialist" from China, adjusted the glass & panels and it worked... for about 3 weeks. Then back to square one.

The Service

Once again, at first, everything was all good. We are talking about a large project ($$$), so I was expecting some extra love. But when they delivered the first set (after waiting 8-10 weeks) 1/3 of the windows were the wrong size. And I'm not talking a few inches where we could have re-fr<x>amed the openings. No, I'm talking 12 to 14-inches!!

Had to re-order them... extra time and costs. Since Bede was responsible for the measurements, we didn't accept the extra costs. It has been over 7 months now and still no new sashes!!! They won't return our phone calls, letters, faxes, etc.

In the meantime, the sales person in charge of our project is "no longer working for the company" and they can't find the original order form that shows the approved measurements.

Conclusion

We are left without support, without what we ordered (and paid in full for... our biggest mistake) BUT what we do have defective products, loss of $$$, pain in the a$$ and now will have to sue them in order to get things moving!

So in two words : Bede Sucks!!
