Average- that's about all that can be said. My wife and I are new to the San Diego area, and have yet to find a good Greek place to go to. Not knowing this was a chain fast food place, we went to go check it out. The menu is pretty average (comparable to an Olgas, if you're from the MI area) and the prices are pretty reasonable as well. My wife got the gyro plate, and I got a gyro sandwich with fries. It wasn't anything spectacular, but it was enough to quench our greek craving. My sandwich was more lettuce than it was lamb, which was kind of disappointing. Overall, I think we are going to continue our search for a Greek place, though in a pinch, this place isn't too bad.
Expect more than gyros and feta--but no togas--at the casual, affordable Greek fast food chain..
In Short
Since 1991, George Katakadilis has been serving up healthy, affordable Greek dishes based on his mother's original recipes from Greece. Watch the pitas, falafels and hummus being created behind the order-at-the-counter restaurants' open, exhibition-style kitchens. The menu is organized with combo plates, vegetarian dishes, a good selection of sauces and dips on the side, and plenty of sweet, sticky Baklava.
