Hole-in-the-wall jazz club's music acts are as charming and unpretentious as the one-room, loft location on the fringes of the Gaslamp..
IN SHORT
Located across the street from the San Diego Convention Center in the event room of the San Diego Wine and Culinary Center, this low-key jazz club boasts a cozy ambience without the distractions of widescreen TVs, ultra modern décor and a trendy bar scene. Owner Chuck Perrin originally established the club in the storage room of a 1911 warehouse building (now undergoing retrofit work) four blocks away. Featuring a variety of musicians from local jazz artists to well-known bluegrass, blues, boogie-woogie and big bands, the venue welcomes all ages and is known for high energy, improvisational jam sessions.
