“The food on TV looked savory and delicious.”
“This is a family owned restaurant and the service is great.”
“Second, I noticed everything was very expensive!”
What a disappointment!. I saw a commercial on this location. The food on TV looked savory and delicious. So I decided to go with my family. While looking for the place, I was shocked to see how tacky and ghetto it looked on the outside. The neighborhood isn't the best either. But I went against my better judgement and decided to give it a go, hoping it would be better inside. My family of 4 consisted of my 11yr old son, 1 yr old daughter, my husband and I. We walked in. I noticed that we were the 'only ones' in there. The inside decor was no better. Poor looking place. We were given menus. First, there is no kids menu selection. Second, I noticed everything was very expensive! My hubby and I were eyeing each other a bit worried. Should we take off or stay? We stayed. He ordered a fish with garlic plate. I ordered a campechana cocktail. My son ordered fried fish plate. I ordered my baby a soup. What a disappointment! My husbands garlic fish tasted gross and overcooked. The garlic on top of fish was burnt. My son's tilapia fish was so-so. My daughters soup tasted old. My cocktail was tasteless. When my hubby complained about the fish being overcooked and tasted like burnt garlic, the server in return said that that is how that specific dish is made. Yeah, what-ever. Our bill came out to over $60 dollars. WHAT????? Needless to say, we will never go back to that ghetto looking place.
