Best Carne Asada Burritos Around!. Forget Robertos, Juanitas, and everywhere else. Once you have the food at Rudy's you won't want to go anywhere else. The difference is in the taste which comes directly from the food quality. I talked to Rudy, the owner about why people like the food so much. He said they pay more for higher qualtiy meats which makes a huge difference. You can order it raw and cook it yourself at home, which is AMAZING! I also love the street tacos and their rolled tacos are not over fried and have tons of meat. Love this place!

Dick Portillo opened his first restaurant from a trailer with no running water in 1963 in Villa Park, Ill. Today, each location has a unique theme that reflects the founder's love of history and Chicago. Menu favorites include Chicago-style hot dogs (topped with mustard, relish, onions, tomatoes, pickle and sport peppers), Polish sausages, Italian beef sandwiches, salads, burgers and more. Sides include onion rings, fries, soup and for dessert there's chocolate cake, lemon cake or strawberry shortcake.
