Best Cafe in San Diego. First of all, I have to say that I have no idea what Jilly is talking about. Thyme in the Ranch is a charming cafe in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe. Everything there is so fantastic! The soups, salads, and sandwiches are so fresh and delicious, and they always look so great. The baked goods are so tasty, and definitely made fresh every morning. My favorite thing to get there would have to be the Chicken Papaya Salad and for desert the White Chocolate Toffee Cookie or any of the delicious cakes. I have been coming to Thyme in the Ranch since it opened and although the lines have gotten longer, the food is such a great reward. After all the years of going to Thyme in the Ranch, I have gotten to know the owners, Dawn and Shane. They work at the cafe everyday; Shane works in the kitchen and Dawn works on the counter. I am absolutely in love with this perfect little cafe. It has to be the best in San Diego!
